Creamy Custard Mix Recipe
Super Easy Vanilla Slice Custard
Super quick cold mix custard for vanilla slices.
Ingredients
500gms Creamy Custard Mix 650mls cold water
1 t vanilla essence 650mls cold milk
1. Place the custard mix and fluids in a bowl, add vanilla essence.
2. Beat for 2-3 mins until very thick and smooth.
Custard for Apple and Custard Scrolls.
Ingredients
¾ C Creamy Custard Mix 350mls cold milk
½ t butter vanilla or vanilla essence
1. Place the custard mix and milk in a bowl, add flavouring.
2. Using electric beaters, beat for 1-2 mins until thick and smooth.
Creamy Thick Custard for Trifles.
Ingredients
75gms (½ C) Creamy Custard Mix 75mls cream 175mls milk
add extra milk to adjust the thickness to your liking.
Flavourings (optional) few drops butter vanilla flavouring, few drops brandy flavour.
1. Place custard mix into a large basin, make a well in the centre.
2. Add cream, milk and other flavouring, beat until thick and smooth (about 2-3 minutes).
Simple Baking Custard Mix
Custard for Danish pastry fillings. Not as rich as the Custard and Apple Scrolls recipe.
Ingredients
100gms (¾ C) Creamy Custard Mix 250mls cold water
½ t butter vanilla or vanilla essence
1. Place the custard mix and water in a bowl, add flavouring.
2. Beat for 1-2 mins until thick and smooth.
Simple Piping Custard
Ingredients
100gms (¾ C) Creamy Custard Mix 260mls cold water
1. Place the custard mix and water in a bowl.
2. Blend on low speed until combined, then beat with medium speed for 3-4 mins until thick and smooth.
3. Leave for 10 mins before piping.
